Kallari is an organization of 850 Kichwa families, who produce fine Cacao flavor, cocoa powder, and dark chocolates to gourmet markets.

Kallari grows it’s chocolate in the Napo Province, Ecuador. They grow several different varieties including the rare heirloom variety – Nacional de Arriba. They take care from the variety of bean, to the fermentation and processing that the essence of bean is protected to produce the best flavor in their chocolate. The Kallari Chocolate cooperatives are run by the indigenous Quichua people in rural Ecuador. These small-scale cacao entrepreneurs decided to start their own cooperative for their chocolate after making a meager living from mass exportation with multinational companies. It pairs well Bourbon, Merlot, Cabernet sauvignon & Scotch.
